The South Asia Regional Research Center (SAS-RC) - SASCOM is one of the Regional Network Centers that has been established by START and is located within the premises of the Centre for Global Change Research at National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in New Delhi, India.
The Director of the SAS RRC is Dr. A. P. Mitra. The SAS-RRC serves as the coordinating Center for the South Asia Regional Network.

INDOEX is an international field experiment in the Indian Ocean with participation from France, Germany, India, Netherlands, and the USA.
India has been participating in this International experiment since 1996.
The formal INDOEX program was carried out in 2 Phases namely, 1) First Field Phase
(FFP) in 1998 and 2) Intensive Field Phase (IFP) in 1999.
The main thrust areas of the Indian component of INDOEX have been Aerosol and Atmospheric Chemistry Studies, Meteorological Aspects and Data
